Adam Peterson
Co-Managing Partner
Adam Peterson is a Co-Managing Partner for BOAM. He has been the Co-Chairman and Co Chief Executive Officer of Boston Omaha Corporation (NYSE:BOC) since 2015. Adam is also the founder and managing member of The Magnolia Group, LLC, an investment advisor managing private partnerships since its founding in 2005. He also serves on the board of directors of Nelnet Inc. (NYSE: NNI) and Nicholas Financial (NASDAQ: NICK). Adam and Brendan Keating have partnered in private real estate (debt and equity) since 2011 via The Aligned Group and 24th Street Asset Management. Adam holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Creighton University.
Alex Rozek
Co-Managing Partner
Alex Rozek is a Co-Managing Partner for BOAM. He has been the Co-Chairman and Co Chief Executive Officer of Boston Omaha Corporation (NYSE:BOC) since 2015. He also serves as the Managing Member of Boulderado Partners, LLC, a private investment partnership founded in July 2007. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Sky Harbour Group (NASDAQ:SKYH) and Dura Software. Alex has experience partnering in various private real estate transactions, debt, equity, residential mortgage, and servicing assets. Alex graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Chemistry.
Brendan Keating
Co-Managing Partner
Brendan Keating is a Co-Managing Partner for BOAM. In addition to his duties at BOAM, Brendan also serves as the Chairman of Logic Commercial Real Estate (“Logic”). Brendan co-founded Logic in August of 2015 with BOC as a partner. He was Logic’s CEO from 2015 until March of 2023, when he moved to Chairman. Logic has offices in Las Vegas, Reno and Omaha, and provides brokerage, property management, receivership, and capital market services. Brendan also founded 24th Street Asset Management (“24th Street”), an investment advisor in the State of Nevada, in 2020 with BOAM as a partner. BOAM purchased the remaining interests in 24th Street in May of 2023. Brendan serves on Boston Omaha Corporation’s (NYSE:BOC) board of directors. He also serves on the board of directors of Nicholas Financial (NASDAQ: NICK). Brendan graduated from Creighton University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Entrepreneurship.
Sydney Atkins
Managing Director
Sydney Atkins is the Managing Director for BOAM. Previously, Sydney was the Head of Private Wealth Management at Ellevest. She also worked in the Investment Management Division of Goldman Sachs & Co., and was the Founder and CEO of Synergy Inc. She recently served as Lead Director of Yellowstone Acquisition Company (NASDAQ:YSAC); a SPAC sponsored by Boston Omaha Corporation that completed a merger with Sky Harbour Group (NYSE: SKYH). Sydney is an active board member for UAspire and SheGives. She also co-owns The Mountain Inn and The Killington Distillery, in Killington Vermont. Currently, Sydney is the Co-President of F.J. Dion Yacht Yard in Salem Massachusetts. Sydney also serves as CEO of Mac Mountain and works at Vermont Covered, helping to build rural mobile wireless infrastructure and bring internet access to underserved communities, respectively. Sydney received her B.A. degree in Neuroscience and Studio Art from Middlebury College, where she also won two NCAA Women’s Lacrosse National Championships. Sydney received her M.B.A. from the Alfred B. Sloan School of Business at MIT.
Mark (Butch) Burgers
Chief Operating Officer
Mark (Butch) Burgers is the Chief Operating Officer for BOAM. He brings a wealth of management, operations, and fundraising experience after a career in the athletics industry as the Executive Associate Athletics Director at Creighton University. During his time at Creighton, he oversaw the day-to-day operations and overall financial management of the department. From a fundraising perspective, he created the Champion’s Circle giving initiative, which yielded unprecedented gift revenue committed towards the department to achieve strategic goals and support the University’s comprehensive campaign. He also secured the first endowed position benefitting Creighton Athletics in 2017. He has been actively involved in residential and commercial real estate for over two decades, personally and by helping Creighton transition into new facilities via land acquisitions, fundraising and construction processes. Burgers earned his Master of Business Administration degree from Creighton University in 2005 after collecting his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Creighton as an undergrad in 2003 where he was a member of the Bluejay Men’s Golf Team.
Jessica Hayes
Chief Compliance Officer
Jessica Hayes is the Chief Compliance Officer for BOAM. Jessica most recently served as a Senior Counsel for Wells Fargo’s Wealth and Investment Management businesses. She joined the company in 2019 and previously advised the Wells Fargo Asset Management business until its sale in 2021. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Jessica worked for a compliance administrator. In this role, she supported investment advisers in matters such as registering with the SEC, fulfilling regulatory reporting obligations, developing and monitoring compliance programs, and navigating regulatory examinations. Jessica began her career in the financial services industry in 2012 as an Enforcement Attorney for the Securities Division of the North Carolina Department of the Secretary of State. She received her J.D. from the Columbus School of Law at The Catholic University of America having completed the School’s Securities Law Program. She received her B.A. in History from the University of Virginia.
Christian Silva
Associate
Christian Silva is an Associate for BOAM. Christian has been an analyst for Boston Omaha Build For Rent since its inception. Previously, he has served as a Senior Director for the Rebel Venture Fund, UNLV’s student-led VC firm. He has also interned at 24th Street Asset Management, a start-up REIT, and a financial services company. Christian graduated from The University of Massachusetts – Amherst with a B.B.A. in Finance, concentrating in Alternative Investments and with a minor in Information Technology. He was also a member of the Commonwealth Honors College. Christian holds his Master’s in Business Administration with a focus in Finance from the University of Nevada – Las Vegas.
Elly Vaughan
Marketing Associate
Elly Vaughan is a Marketing Associate for BOAM. Previously, she has served as a Marketing and Operations Associate for Boston Omaha Corporation (NYSE:BOC). Elly has also worked on marketing and digital mapping for Mac Mountain LLC, a telecommunications company helping to build rural mobile wireless infrastructure in Vermont. Elly has experience working with a family office and several nonprofit organizations. Elly received her B.S. degree in Psychology and Studio Art from Union College where she was the captain of the women’s basketball team.
Michael Flangas
Junior Analyst
Michael Flangas is a Junior Analyst for BOAM. Previously, he worked as a financial advisor for Ameriprise Financial. He has also worked as a financial intern for UBS and Las Vegas Neurosurgery. Michael graduated from the University of Nevada – Reno with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Economics. He also holds his Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Nevada – Reno.
